L’Estanquer White

Variety white Cariñena / Year 2022 / 75cl. / % vol. 12

This wine is named after our winery and in it we put the very best of our efforts because it represents everything we aim to be. With this wine we want to portray our personality and the overall approach to our elaborations, as well as the overall variety we use to produce it.

The grape comes from our oldest vineyard, La Sort, which is 70 years old. It is a long macerated wine, using the grapes’ own skin. It is posteriorly aged in barrels during 6 months. This confers it with a high level of complexity, consequently differentiating it from what we usually understand as a white wine.

Tasting Notes:

Visual: Amber wine with bright golden hues.
Aromas: Many notes of mature and candied fruit on the nose, along with notes of dried and toasted nuts lent by the barrel.
Palate: Fleshy wine with strong notes of candied fruit and anise seeds. This is a powerful, long and complex wine.

Pairing:

This wine, due to its characteristics, goes very well with more complex dishes than those usually recommended for a white wine. It goes very well with pasta, cannelloni, rice dishes, such as paella or risotto, and baked meats.

Recommended Temperature: Between 12 and 14°C. This white wine has the capability of aging in bottle and, consequently, of achieving greater complexity.
